What TierWise keeps, why, and what happens to it when you leave.
What TierWise keeps

TierWise doesn't keep addresses, phone numbers, payment details or the products in an order. For a birthday gift order it reads the member's default address from Shopify at that moment and puts it on the order, without keeping it.
If you connect Klaviyo
TierWise sends your Klaviyo account each loyalty event and each member's email, tier, spend this year, distance to the next tier and reward, unused codes and join date. Nothing is sent to Klaviyo unless you connect it, and disconnecting stops it. In Klaviyo the data is under your own account and your own agreement with Klaviyo.
If you connect Claude
Each question you ask Claude about your program is answered with your loyalty data: member names and emails, tiers, spend, reward codes and campaign results. The answer goes to Anthropic under your own Claude account and agreement. Claude can read and cannot change anything. Nothing is sent unless you make a key on Integrations, and removing the key stops it.
Permissions

In your store
- TierWise only changes customer tags that start with
tierwise-, and its owntierwisefields. See Tags & metafields. - The Rewards page shows each customer only their own data, read from Shopify through their signed-in account.
- Nothing is written to your store until you've saved your tiers and started the sync.
If you uninstall
TierWise stops straight away. Shopify asks apps to delete their copy of a store's data 48 hours after it uninstalls, and TierWise then deletes everything in the table above: its order summaries, customer names and emails, tiers, reward code history and your settings. If you reinstall within those 48 hours, your program is still there.
Nothing in your Shopify store is deleted. Your orders, customers, products and everything else stay exactly as they are. Only TierWise's own records go.
Tags, fields and discount codes already in your store stay there after uninstalling. Remove tierwise- tags from customers in bulk if you no longer want them.
Customer data requests
- Deletion. When a customer asks your store to erase their data, Shopify tells TierWise, and TierWise deletes their orders summary, stats, codes, gift records and history.
- Access. Everything TierWise holds about a customer is visible to you on their page in the app.
