Changelog
What changed in TierWise, newest first. Changes reach every store on their own; there is nothing to update on your side.
October 27, 2026
New
- Claude. Add TierWise as a connector in Claude and ask about your program in your own words: who is close to a tier, what codes a customer holds, how a campaign did, how this month compares. One key from the Integrations page; read-only, your store only.
- Campaigns. Give every member, or every member of one tier, a code at once. Each gets their own single-use code on their Rewards page, "Campaign code issued" goes to Flow and Klaviyo, and the code sits on the Klaviyo profile for a plain campaign email. Try it on one customer first.
Fixed
- Refunds typed as an amount now lower spend. A refund with no items picked used to leave the order's full value on the customer. Now any refund lowers their spend, however it was entered.
- A refund takes back the code it earned. When a refund drops a customer below a line that earned a code they haven't used, the code is switched off and leaves their Rewards page. It comes back if they cross the line again. Used codes stay used.

Changed
- Everything TierWise writes to your store now says
tierwise. Customer tags aretierwise-gold,tierwise-memberandtierwise-lapsed(they wereloyalty-…), the gift tag on an order istierwise-gift-<tier>, the birthday order is taggedtierwise-birthday-gift, and the customer fields sit undertierwise, named "TierWise loyalty tier" and so on in your admin. So anything on a customer that says tierwise is ours, and nothing else is touched. The next Update all customers takes the old tags and fields off; a segment or flow that keyed onloyalty-goldneeds the new name. - Give a code by hand. On a customer's page in the app, give them any tier's spend reward code, at the set amount or one you type for a dollar reward. It shows on their Rewards page and sends "Reward code issued" like a code they earned.
- Nothing goes out before Launch. No event reaches Flow or Klaviyo until you press Launch, so emails never go to customers before you have built them. The test events from Integrations still send.
- Setup ticks Connect your email once Klaviyo is connected.

New
- Klaviyo, connected directly. Paste a private API key on the Integrations page and every TierWise event reaches Klaviyo as a metric, with no Shopify Flow workflow. Each customer's tier, spend and distance to the next tier and reward are written to their Klaviyo profile, when you connect and after every order, so flows can check the live figures before sending.
- Launch. The last step of Setup is now Launch, and it is what starts reward codes. Orders before it count toward tiers and progress but earn no code, so you can connect your email tool and build its flows before the first code goes out.
- Bring over existing rewards. Switching from another loyalty app, or from codes sent through Klaviyo? Upload a CSV of the codes your customers hold and each appears on their Rewards page, tied to them. Codes from a Klaviyo batch are moved out of it and kept, so the code in the customer's inbox is the code on their page. Spent codes are skipped. An optional step in Setup, and under Settings afterwards.
- Progress toward the next reward code, on the Rewards page, on each customer's page in the app, and on the Members page as a column and a "Close to next reward" filter.
- Carry reward progress into the new year. A setting under Reward codes. On, a member $90 toward their next code in December needs $10 in January rather than starting over. Applies from the January after you turn it on.

New
- Choose whether shipping and tax count toward tier spend. A setting in Settings. Off, spend is what customers pay for goods after discounts and refunds; on, shipping and tax count too. Press Update all customers after changing it.
- Analytics by tier. Sales and members on the Analytics page are broken down by tier.
- Notes on a customer. A note field on each customer's page in the app, for things like why you placed someone in a tier by hand.
- A "How it works" section on the Rewards page. At the bottom of the page, listing your tiers and what each takes, with its own wording settings in the theme editor.
- Birthday gifts go out on their own. Turn on Create birthday orders automatically on the Birthdays page and pick a time of day. Once a day, every member due that month who hasn't had a gift this year gets their gift order, so it lands in your shipping app with the morning's orders. The button for sending by hand still works.
- Choose which tiers get a birthday gift. Tick the tiers on the Birthdays page. Members below them keep their birthday month and get a gift once they reach one of those tiers, and the Rewards page only asks members in those tiers for their month.
- The birthday list shows each member's tier, and a member with no address in Shopify is flagged, can't be ticked by mistake, and links straight to their profile so you can add one.
Rewards page
- Preview while you style it. In the theme editor, see the page as a member, a member who just moved up, a top-tier member or someone who hasn't joined.
- Confetti the first time a member sees the page after reaching a new tier.
- A better member card. The member's name in the corner, the bar filling in as the page opens with the current and next tier named at its ends, and how much more to spend to unlock the next tier counted up under it.
- A card of its own for top-tier members, with your thank-you message in place of a progress bar.
Before this
This is the first entry. Everything TierWise did before it, from tiers and reward codes to the Rewards page, the January review, birthday gifts and Shopify Flow events, is described in the docs as it works today.
